Music Is Dumb is a collaborative contemporary percussion album that exhibits the broad range of simple and complex emotions that music can evoke. Music can cause feelings of disgust, relief, surprise, or confusion. Perhaps it can maybe just be DUMB. Music Is Dumb will be presented as a combination of pre-recorded music videos and live performances that will coincide with the release of the album worldwide.

Jared Rountree is a percussionist, composer, and educator from Klamath Falls, Oregon. He has performed professionally with notable groups including the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Rogue Valley Symphony, SOU Salsa Orchestra, SOU percussion Ensemble, Left Edge Percussion, Tobago Breeze, Sonido Alegre, and Maraval Road Steel Pan Ensemble. He has performed at festivals including the Britt Festival, Northwest Percussion Festival, Rogue World Music Festival, OMEA Conference, Oregon Fringe Festival, and the Bang On A Can Longplay Festival.
