How large is the Oregon Fringe Festival?
The Oregon Fringe Festival is fairly young, 12 year old festival. And, just like a young person, the festival is constantly growing, experiencing changes, and establishing its identity. What has remained consistent over the past few years, is the makeup of our artist roster. It’s a tight-knit community of local artists and students joined by professional artists, both nationally and internationally based.
2022 Statistics: In 2022, the Oregon Fringe Festival provided platforms for over 35 artists, 1 of which was internationally based, 6 of which were nationally based, 8 locally based, and 20 being students. Over the span of five days, viewers were given the opportunity to participate in over 60 different ways. While some performances had up to 50 - 80 viewers, others were more intimate with 15 - 30 viewers. The average attendance rate was 30 viewers, keeping in mind that the number of competing performances was lowered in an effort to increase audience sizes.
