RETURN AND RECALL and INITIATIVES AND REACTIONS (composed by Stuart Smith) are studies in group composition. These pieces allow artists to perform in different disciplines while carefully maintaining a relationship between each other. In our performance, a group made of mimes and musicians will thread the line between abstraction and relation in interdisciplinary performance.

Jordon Wiersema is a senior studying Percussion performance at SOU with Terry Longshore. He is especially excited by 20th century avant-garde music, jazz, music of the world, and concert percussion music His love for music is undetachable from his love for collaboration, improvisation, individuality, and experimentation in all art and life.
